Last night in London, Barefoot Power - the worldiwse dtartup out of Australia = was honoured by receiving the prestigious Ashden Award for Sustainable Enterprise.

We want to thank our amazing supporters, distributors, customers and staff around the globe, for without all of you such recognition would not be possible.

For those interested, I am now setting up a new venture (Village Infrastructure Angels) to lend solar to the poor, instead of the Barefoot model of selling for cash. Hopefully investors are now ready for 1-3 year loans to villagers at a global level, like Grameen Shakti has done so well in Bangladesh, and we can grow past the current fad of just 6-12 month loans for working capital and cash sales. Materials will be available from June onwards for inspection - feel free to pass this on to anyone who might be interest.
